To create an unit in Tally Prime, follow these steps:
1 – Go to the “create” from Masters section in Gateway of Tally
2 – Select “Unit” under Inventory Masters
3 – Following window will be appear
4 – Add following specifications for create a unit of kg (kilogram)
5 – Press “Ctrl + A” for save the unit.
Display “Unit” in Tally Prime
We can view the created units by run the following series of commands in tally prime
6 – Select “Charts of Accounts” in Gateway of Tally
7 – Select “Units” under the Inventory Masters
8 – Here all created “Units” will be display
Changes / Alter in “Unit”
9 – Select “Alter” option under Masters in Gateway of Tally
10 – Select “Unit” under Inventory Masters
11 – Select “kg” in Units
12 – Here all old specifications of kg will be display
13 – Here we change the unit symbol as Kgs from the kg, please do changes as per following
